On Thursday afternoon we all flew into Nashville Tennessee where Drew and Laura were waiting for us; we were all excited to each other. After we got our luggage they took us to the Flying Saucer for lunch. What a fun place that was. This place was covered with blue plates on the ceiling and funny saying all over the walls, see picture. We sat in the patio area and enjoyed the nice weather. After we finished eating we headed to downtown Nashville; seeing LP field (home of the Titans) along the way. Our first stop was a country western store where I almost bought an authentic country shirt....but the one I liked was too small :-( After we finished walking around we stopped at The Stage on Broadway. Inside was a live country band playing and the decor was amazing, even the bathroom was cool!
After an hour or so we left The Stage and headed to Drew and Laura's place in Bowling Green, Kentucky. (about 2hr drive) Once we got there we were hungry again and stopped at El Mazatlan for some Mexican food, then stopped at a drive through liquor store, and then finally made it to their place. We had a big day ahead of us and wanted to get an early start but ended up playing Wii bowling and Guitar Hero way too late....but what a fun start to a great weekend. Pictures, Day 1
