Sunday, after sleeping in, I took Barbie and Kriss to my favorite place for brunch. On our way there we ran into a street fair and it was packed. Once we made it to Calle Ocho it was a hit (of course)! Everything was so good and B&K can see why I love to go there all the time.
Most of our day was spent in Central Park. We took a two hour bicycle ride through a lot of the lower half of the park which gave B&K a good overview. Our tour guide was fun and he knew a lot of neat facts about the city/park. We then walked back to my house through the park from 67th to 100th. B&K loved the park and can see why it's so popular.
That night we went to see
Spring Awakening and none of us liked it much. It was very dark and I didn't much care for the story line. However the lighting and acting were fantastic. After the play we walked to Pagalli for some food and my favorite cheesecake. Once we got inside Barbie said it was a French restaurant! They were so excited and we all ordered a Belgium beer, Kwak, that sat in a funky wooden holder (
picture). It was pretty cool. The restaurant put a happy ending to our night! :-)
